Should I go for Strength or Agility?
Q. Should I go for Strength or Agility?
A. The Strength vs Agility issue is affected by many different factors
1. Burst damage vs sustained damage - Burst damage favours agility
2. The amount of Attack Power you have - As Attack Power increases, Agility becomes better
3. The amount of Crit Chance you have - As your Crit Chance increases, Strength becomes better
4. Choice of attack patterns - Claw favours Agility more than Shred does, Rip favours Strength while Ferocious Bite favours Agility
5. Talents - Blood Frenzy favours Agility, Heard of the Wild favours Strength
6. Others that have not been mentioned
The answer will vary between different druids of different specs, stats and fight pattern. The best way to determine which is better for yourself is to use the Cat DPS Calculator http://tangedyn.pbwiki.com/Cat%20DPS%20Calculator and look at the AGI:STR ratio calculated. If this is more than 1, then Agility is better.
However, in general, Strength will be better than Agility for most druids. AGI:STR > 1.0 is usually hit only by druids with gear obtained from top end raids, raid buffed, and using Ferocious Bite instead of Rip.
