Shamans are well balanced in melee and casting, they can even heal well. Another advantage is once you reach lvl 20, Shamans ca learn the spell Ghost Wolf, which transforms the shaman in a ghost wolf, giving it 40% more speed. then at lvl 24, they can learn under water breathing, and at lvl 26, they can learn how to walk on water.

The best thing about Shamans is their totems. There are 4 elements. Earth(begining), Fire(lvl 10), Water(lvl 20), and Air(lvl 30). Only one totem from each element can be used at once, and can provide major support for you and your group.
